1Sky is a collaborative national campaign for strong federal action to tackle global climate change and invest in building the clean energy economy of the future. As one of the largest national campaigns in the country, 1Sky combines the force of 540 allied organizations, 190,000 committed climate advocates, 3,500 volunteer Climate Precinct Captains covering more than 394 congressional districts in 50 states, and a team of 37 including 25 organizers in 19 states working to mobilize constituent support.

350.org is an international campaign dedicated to building a movement to unite the world around solutions to the climate crisis - the solutions that science and justice demand. Our mission is to inspire the world to rise to the challenge of the climate crisis - to create a new sense of urgency and of possibility for our planet. Our focus is on the number 350 - as in parts per million, the level scientists have identified as the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere. But 350 is more than a number - it's a symbol of where we need to head as a planet.

ACE :: Alliance for Climate Education is a national nonprofit dedicated to educating America's high school students about the science behind climate change. Our primary goal is to equip students with the knowledge and tools they need to confront the global warming challenges our planet faces. ARE, the Alliance for Renewable Energy, with a focus on North America, is an alliance of policymakers, renewable energy experts, citizens, research institutions, and large and small businesses that came together in the Spring of 2008. Fresh AIRE - Arlington Initiative to Reduce Emissions began in 2007 to undertake the goal of reducing the government's greenhouse gas emissions 10% from 2000 to 2012 (primarily through energy saving measures including the use of clean energy). Since its launch, AIRE has expanded its work to convey the energy efficiency message to the broader community through activities and resources including: a customizable sustainability toolkit for the multifamily sector, a Green It community workshop series, small business networking events, the Fresh AIRE Business Partners program and award event, and outreach through social media. New this year, a Community Energy Plan process is currently underway with the support of a Community Energy and Sustainability Task Force and County Board Chairman Jay Fisette.

The Association of Climate Change Officers (ACCO) is a 501(c)(6) non-profit corporation whose mission is to advance the professional knowledge, skills and experience of those dedicated to managing and implementing response to challenges and opportunities relating to climate change and energy issues. ACCO provides a forum for the exchange and enhancement of best practices, industry standards, and innovation in the area of climate change strategies, and also provides education and training to executives in industry, government and non-profit institutions.

The Bellona Foundation is an international environmental NGO based in Norway. Founded in 1986 as a direct action protest group, Bellona has become a recognised technology and solution-oriented organization with offices in Oslo, Brussels, Washington D.C., St. Petersburg and Murmansk. Altogether, some 75 engineers, ecologists, nuclear physicists, economists, lawyers, political scientists and journalists work at Bellona.  Since 1996, Bellona USA has primarily worked with challenges related to decommissioned submarines and the storage of radioactive waste in Russia. Today the main objective of Bellona USA is to encourage the United States to tackle climate change now.

The Coalition for the Green Bank is a consortium of leaders in energy development enterprises dedicated to the stimulus of green energy assets for clean and sustainable energy and jobs, and economic development. The Green Bank would provide loan guarantees and other financing tools for energy retrofit and conventional clean energy generation projects. We believe that a critical part of any effective job creation mechanism is the establishment of a taxpayer owned, non-profit, private corporation that would be created with the speed of a private sector start-up.

We believe that only a private company will be able to move with the speed and flexibility necessary to bring a program like this to scale and to create millions of jobs in a very short period of time. The Green Bank/GELA would operate with the openness and transparency that accompanies any public company, while also being free from the administrative burdens with which a government funding authority would have to contend.

EarthAction is the world's largest action network with over 2,600 organizations in 165 countries and thousands of policymakers, journalists and citizens. We have carried out 84 campaigns since we began at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro in 1992.

EarthAction organizes global campaigns on the world's most pressing problems. For each campaign we create and distribute, via email and post, Action Kits that include timely, compelling ready-to-use materials. Each Kit provides brief information on one important issue and recommends a simple action to take. Organizations and individuals use the materials in the Kits to educate and mobilize their members, friends, media and government. Our Legislative Kits inform policymakers about the best policies on issues they care about, and our Media Kits provide accurate cutting-edge information to journalists.

Since 1994, MARBC has worked to foster business relations between Russia and the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region, while cultivating mutual appreciation of political, economic, cultural, and educational interests. The goal of MARBC is to enable companies based in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region to enhance their positions in Russia and to attract Russian businesses to the U.S. Mid-Atlantic region.  MARBC is a major non-profit organization in the Mid-Atlantic region that provides information about and services related to Russia. The most prominent of the events organized by the MARBC are the semi-annual Russian-American Innovation Technology Weeks. The County leads by offering a portfolio of aggressive government purchases of clean energy, equivalent to 30% of the County's electricity consumption; generous property tax credits to motivate on-site solar and geothermal installations; and community education and awareness building activities, including a region leading Green Business Certification program, and is the host community of the Maryland Clean Energy Center. 2010 will be one of the best years yet for the County's efforts green our economy with the debut of the County's Home Energy Loan Program (HELP) that will provide financing for energy-efficiency and clean energy programs funded through the property tax bill and a host of new stimulus funded programs.
