Approved in House 10/22/09 - Authorizes DOE to establish a committee to develop road map of solar technology needs and provide guidance for federal solar technology activities.

Makes equipment used to manufacture solar energy generating property eligible to receive the investment tax credit (ITC).

Transportation and Biofuel

H.R. 1476- The Open Fuel Standard Act

Requires 50% of new U.S. automobiles to accept E85 or M85 in 2012, and 80% of new vehicles in 2015 and thereafter.

S. 737- Biofuel Research and Development Act

Authorizes DOE to conduct, research, development and demonstration to make biofuels more compatible with small non-road engines.
